As many of you probably are aware, today is Veteran's Day. But, today is also my mother's birthday. I am honored to be the son of a soldier who is currently deployed, and a mother who has and is homeschooling five children. In my eyes, they are superheros. It is not a very common thing to run into two people so dedicated to leading a godly life in the midst of so much transition.
Today, I am grateful for all those veterans who have gone to war and are in the midst of war right now. Their bravery and sacrifice has preserved us with this freedom that we have enjoyed for so long. And I am proud to say that my dad can be numbered among the brave so he can make this country the home of the free. Thank you, dad!
And I am also thankful for my mother. She has done so much for this family, and has been with me for every step of this crazy life that we have explored. Happy birthday, mom!
