This past weekend, my host family and I took a weekend trip into Wyoming. We ended up hiking Glory Trail in the Teton Mountain Range.  It was aptly named:

The wild flowers were out in full force.

Have you ever looked at something and marveled at how it came to be there?  There were a number of things that I saw this past Saturday that just left me holding onto the guardrail, gazing intently.  It can be slightly overwhelming, looking out over God's magnificent creation - which showcases just a glimpse of His power and glory!  Among the many marvels I witnessed on Saturday were the Shoshone Falls, Balanced Rock, and Devil's Washbowl.

And then there was one!  

This year we had some pretty great submissions, but Joshua Waitman was the one who pulled it out in the end.  Below are pictured other examples of his talent.  (First one is the one he won with.)

Fall break was quite enjoyable!  It had such a great balance between friends, family, and activities.  I've found that it is hard to balance all of these well in one break, but this break managed to pull it off with no problem!  Below are some captures from the past week:

The end of break was capped off with a fantastic feast prepared by my mother.  And yes, we did feast in the garage.

Is it bad that I am already looking forward to Thanksgiving break?

| Fall Photography Contest 2017 | Let's Do This Again

Are we still doing the Photography Contest?  Yes we are!  I don't know what happened, but somehow I just lost track of due dates and deadlines and forgot to advertise for this thing.  Same instructions, but different due dates.  Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience!  Here are the instructions as a reminder:

What are the parameters?  What are the prizes?  What is the due date?

Good questions.  Well, much like in previous contests, the rules are:

1.  You need to submit one photo.

2.  The photo has to be taken by you.

3.  It should have the theme of fall.

4.  Once taken, email me at samwiseonabike@gmail.com with your submission.

5.  The due date is:  Thursday, November 2nd 11:55 PT.

Once submitted, I will air them all out, so that everyone may vote.  The voting process isn't difficult.  I'll post them on the 2nd, and you will have ONE week to cast all of your votes.  One like/favorite=one vote.  (You can vote on all the different platforms, so theoretically, you could vote for yourself three times.)
